Rosanne Leipzig, Director

Rosanne Leipzig has been a member of CBST for the past 37 years, and served as co-chair of the Rabbi Selection Committee. Before CBST hired its first Rabbi, Rosanne was a frequent ba’alat t’fillah (cantor) for Shabbat and High Holy Days services. Over the years, she has sung tenor, alto, and now soprano in the CBST Community Chorus.

In addition to her Board service, she currently co-chairs CBST's Task Force on Aging.

Professionally, Rosanne is a professor and vice chair for education at the Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at Mount Sinai.

In 1988, Rosanne and her wife, Ora Chaikin, celebrated the first B’rit Ahavah in the synagogue’s history.
