Harold Levine, Vice President

Harold Levine first came to CBST as an attendee at High Holy Days services in the mid-1990s, and has been a member since 2013. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 2017, served as Secretary from 2019-2020 and Vice President since 2020. He is Chair of the Development Committee and a member of the Nominating Committee and was Chair of the Listening Task Force that conducted focus groups and a community-wide survey to start the process of searching for a new senior rabbi.

In addition to his role on our Board of Directors, Harold continues to serve the CBST community as chair of House of Peace, the synagogue’s Jewish-Muslim outreach initiative and as one of CBST’s lay Torah and Haftarah readers at Shabbat, Festival and High Holy Days services. He is proud to have been arrested along with Senior Rabbi Senor Kleinbaum and other CBST members in in the Senate office building in 2018 during a protest to support DACA recipients. Harold received a Bachelor of Arts from Yale, in Classics, in 1978, and is the owner and president of Levine and Partners, Inc., a Manhattan-based marketing consulting firm.
