Gabriel joined the CBST team in 2010. Co-owner of VisibleU, an Internet Marketing firm, Gabriel has extensive experience in marketing and communications. A member of the advisory board of The LGBT Religious Archives Network and Nehirim. A long time activist and teacher in the LGBT Jewish community, Gabriel has spokena nd taught around the country and in israel, including at Machon Schechter in Jerusalem, Yale University, Columbia Univsersity, the Rothko Chapel in Houston, TX, and others. The founder of the God & Sexuality Conference and founding member of JQYouth, Gabriel has served on numerous committees and groups to organize for the needs of LGBTQ Jews.

Gabriel studied theology at Bard College and the Conservative Yeshiva. He has two published essays "Two Truths: Living as a Religious Gay Jew" in Found Tribe (Sherman Asher, 2002) and "Negotiating Orgasm: Spirituality and the Sexual Experience" in Jewish Choices, Jewish Voices: Sex and Intimacy (JPS, 2010).

Gabriel runs the Development and Communications Department, which is responsible for fundraising efforts, including development events and the capital campaign. The department also runs the synagogue's website, email, Facebook , and other online media. Gabriel works with the traditional press and bloggers to cover the myriad programs and projects the CBST community engages in.
