Evan joined CBST in December 2011 as the Development Associate for Annual Appeals. Evan is a graduate of Stony Brook University with a BA in Social Justice, and has a Masters of Social Work, with a specialization in International and Community Outreach, from Monmouth University. His graduate thesis was focused on international LGBT rights and was title “Social Works’ Role in the Recognition of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Rights in the International Community.” Most recently Evan worked within the development department at the LGBT Community Center here in New York City.

Evan has worked with several different organizations in the past including Human Rights Watch, the Wo/Men’s & Gender Resource Center, the International Federation of Social Workers, and Nehirim. He just recently attended the World LGBTQ Youth Leaders Summit in Tel Aviv, where he was extremely moved and inspired by the work of young leaders of the LGBTQ movement around the globe.
