StoryCorps
CBST recently launched a relationship with StoryCorps—one of America’s largest oral history projects—as a means of recording the personal stories that make up the collective memoirs/oral history of the synagogue.
Through oral interviews made possible by partnering with StoryCorps, we can tell our stories and have our personal experiences as LGBT Jews documented for generations to come. Each conversation is recorded on a CD by StoryCorps for us to take home and place within the CBST archives. (The fee normally paid to StoryCorps will be waived for CBST members.)
The recordings will also become a part of the Library of Congress, so that we will be contributing our unique history to the growing portrait of who we are as Americans.
