Organized by the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery, the show highlights contributions of both closeted and open gays and lesbians, beginning at end of 19th century. The exhibit includes paintings, photography, films and installation art. You don’t want to miss this exhibition highlighting homosexuality and tracing some of the ways that “same sex” desire has been manifested in 19th /20th century portraiture. Docent guided tour.
