Family and Friends Shabbat with Gilbert Baker

On the Friday that begins Pride Week we bring our family and friends to CBST to celebrate with us. This year we celebrate our Family and Friends by welcoming into our community Gilbert Baker .
Gilbert Baker created the Rainbow Flag in 1978. His work as a vexillographer (flag maker) spans more than 30 years and includes 2 world records. A multi-media artist, for 2011 he’s explored impressionist cartography with a series of map paintings.
Trans Pride Performance with S. Bear Bergman

Join the Transgender Empowerment Coalition for an exciting Trans Pride Performance with S. Bear Bergman after services!
S. Bear Bergman is a writer, a theater artist, an instigator, a gender-jammer, and a good example of what happens when you overeducate a contrarian.
Pride Shabbat with Cynthia Nixon
Friday, June 24th

We celebrate Pride with a joyous service that includes music from the Community Chorus and invited guests from the LGBT community worldwide. This year, CBST is proud to welcome Cynthia Nixon , an Emmy, Tony, and Grammy Award-wining actress, known for her portrayal of Miranda Hobbes in Sex and the City . She has been very involved in Fight Back New York, an organization fighting against anti-equality New York State Senators.
Pride Picnic
Saturday, June 25th, 1PM
Pier 46 on the West Side Hwy
Join us on Saturday, June 25th for a multi-generational picnic ! Please bring veggie and diary lunch dishes to share and kid-safe games to play. All are welcome!
CBST in the Pride March
Sunday, June 26th, 10AM
March with CBST or watch from the sidelines and cheer us on! Dance and sing all the way down 5th Ave. accompanied on our festive float with DJ John Vee! Stay tuned for details on where and when to meet up to march!
