Open Door Fund
CBST opens its doors to everyone who wants to join us for the High Holy Days.
Begun by Irving Cooperberg, z"l , the Open Door fund pays for the space we rent for the High Holy Days each year. For CBST the Open Door is an important part of our outreach to the community each year by welcoming all who wish to pray with us. It is important for the diversity of CBST’s community that we welcome people from all walks of life. While we clearly strive to include people of all sexual orientations and gender identities, we also strive to create a community of people from all socioeconomic backgrounds.
Many of us we know what it feels like to not be fully included in the religious life of a synagogue. We, therefore, find it very important that no one ever feel that the personal circumstances of their life should hinder them from participating in services at CBST. The Open Door fund allows us to open our doors to any person who wishes to enter.
