JOH Youth Mishlahat Visits New York

A group of youth from the Jerusalem Open House, along with their counselors and JOH leaders, visited New York during Yom Kippur and the week after.

JOH Youth Mishlahat Visits New York

The youth ranged from 17 to 23 years of age and were visiting New York to learn about the Jewish and LGBT communities here, and about how to take what they've learned about communities here to their communities back in Israel, which are still grieving over the attack on the Tel Aviv LGBT youth group.

From the JOH: "The Mishlahat, which offered our youth a profoundly empowering and life changing experience was made possible through the generosity of UJA, CBST board member Heymi Kuriel and LGBT Center board member Mario Palumbo. As seen below, their support has made an incredible difference in the lives, the hopes and the dreams of our youth."

The group was inspired and deeply moved by their visit. Below are their responses to the week, in their own words.
