Shabbat Morning: “The Last Midnight,” Maven Torah Reading Ritual during the Shabbat morning Minyan. Storahtelling Mavens (translators/interpreters) bring the Torah to life through a fresh fusion of Hebrew chanting, dramatized English translation and interactive commentary during the Torah service.
Talkback/Q&A over kiddush lunch after services
RSVP to cbstoffice@cbst.org if you are planning to stay for kiddush/lunch.
For these liberal Shabbatot we daven in a consciously modern context.
For this morning service, the Reconstructionist prayer book Kol Haneshamah is used, which combines traditional and contemporary liturgy in Hebrew and in English. We read from the Torah according to the triennial cycle and discuss the week’s Torah portion with one of CBST’s Cooperberg-Rittmaster Rabbinical Interns. The service ends at approximately 12:30 pm and is followed by a kiddush lunch. To volunteer as either a service leader or Torah reader, email Neal Hoffman .
