MLK Shabbat Service with Guest Speaker Urvashi Vaid

Services to remember and honor the work and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. with guest speaker Urvashi Vaid. Urvashi Vaid is one of the nation's best-known social justice leaders and community activists. Her most recent book, “Irresistible Revolution: Confronting Race, Class, and the Assumptions of LGBT Politics,” is a strategic and informed book about the pitfalls of limited political vision, and the benefits of an agenda that encompasses, yet moves beyond, equality. CBST welcomes Urvashi Vaid, who will be our guest speaker for our Martin Luther King, Jr. Shabbat. Join us after Main Kabbalat Shabbat services for a shmooze about “Irresistible Revolution.”
