Tzedek, Tzedek Tirdof. Justice, Justice Shall You Pursue: What Happens in Arizona, Stays in Arizona
"There shall be one law for the citizen and for the stranger who dwells among you." -Exodus 12:49
Arizona's new law is a watershed moment for its blatant disregard of America's most fundamental values of fairness and equality. Only a vigorous rejection of this dangerous, un-American law will prevent it from spreading to other states. There are numerous reports that state lawmakers elsewhere are already considering bills similar to that of Arizona's. Even if you think your elected representatives and governor are sympathetic on this issue, they need to hear from you that you will not tolerate a dangerous racial profiling law in your state. Join CBST and the ACLU in sending a strong message to our lawmakers that there "be one law for the citizen and for the stranger."
