LGBTQ Youth HIV Leadership Training
Starting July 21 and running for 8 weeks, Queens Pride House is hosting a new youth HIV Peer Leadership Training ! The program is about peer leadership and is specifically for LGBTQ young folks (24 & under) who have an interest in HIV education/advocacy.
We will be talking about LGBTQ equality and discrimination, the social context of HIV in NYC, adolescent sexuality and other related topics. Folks who participate will gain leadership skills and knowledge about how to provide HIV/STI peer support. They will also gain experience in community outreach and receive a stipend! It's a great compliment to other HIV education programs and should be a lot of fun!
